NAT 01 Tuner - Help

Posted by: Super on 08 August 2017

I wonder if there is anyone who could help on this. I have a problem with the NAT 01 Tuner and i'm sure the problem is in the power supply rather than in the tuner head. Does anyone know what the voltage output(s) is from the power supply  to the tuner head and what pins they are ? Looked through the manuals and it just gives outputs of hi-caps etc.  Any help would be grateful.

Super,

you should contact Naim's service department.  They're the only ones qualified and equipped to advise and service the old Naim FM tuners.

The NATPS is probably the LAST of the Naim power supplies that you would want to do any DIY diagnostics on. Apart from having 4 different voltages, the exact values of some are trimmed to the individual tuner head unit-so the power supply needs to be serviced/updated along with its matching tuner head-which at this stage of the game probably would need an alignment and refreshing all the caps on the output cards.

Hi Super

You should consider having your NAT 01/NAPST sent in for service.  Its not clear for how long Naim will contiune to service this tuner.
