Shadows and Light...Joni
B.B. King - Live at the Regal. Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense.
Sorry, can't decide between these two!
This is a wonderful album from a stormy New York evening . I'm sure many of you know but if not well worth a listen .
Erm, Richard, we seem to have two parallel threads running here, so can you do your thing and combine them?
Ellington at Newport the crowd is screaming 'Go Man Go" by the second side. It revived his career
Wings over America..... Exceptionally good
Sinatra live at the sands -- Count Basie Orchestra -- Quincy Jones -- how can you go wrong??
This too. Live at Carnegie Hall.
Get Your Ya Ya's Out!
If you like Brubeck's style of jazz then this is an absolute must. Very well recorded (c.1962 IIRC - remastered) and the musicianship is stunning. The track Castilian Drums alone is worth the ticket price.
For me, this is the best live album I've got.

Some of that album was re-recorded in the studio…
Curtis Mayfield Live! for sure stands out a bit.
And something less familiar to many and not one of the usual suspects:
Animal Collective Live at 9:30 is full of quite intriguing music...
