Will the Atom beat my Nait XS+2qute?

Your query raise some questions

What speakers used with Uniti ?

Were it its cd player you judge thin/harsh ?

Having used UQ, Uniti and SN myself

On ordinary easy speakers, the SN was the amp I likes less connected source to inside DAC

Its powerfull but clinic and thin to my ears

The XS amp is better IMO, no idea of mentioned 2qute

Not heard Atom yet, have they solved all issues ? I'd wait.

I found the Atom a lot of fun with easily driven speakers. It's amp is no match for a Supernait, though. Then again, if a Supernait is on your radar, the Nova isn't that much more expensive, bearing in mind that you could sell the 2Qute.

Speakers are kef ref 2's which i guess are a little big for both the xs and my 4x5m room. When I heard the uniq and uniti it was with pmc 22's not with my kefs. The kefs lack the detail of the pmcs but have fantastic scale and sound very sweet, albeit a little veiled.

So is the Nova a supernait with a streamer/dac? 

I suspect your speakers really need a lot more power than an Atom. If you want a single box, a Nova would be more like it - or a Superuniti if you want to spend less. A Supernait with the right source will more than likely sound better still, but that depends where you want to go with your system.

Supernait and 2qute all day over Atom much more power for your speakers

I have SN2 with CDX2 and relevant PSU. I'm evaluating to sell everything for the new Nova but I suppose that the sound quality may be affected. But How much? I have a 10 months old baby now and the HI-FI system is in the living Room. Probably the option to reduce the black boxes may be a solution!
