Yussef/Cat Stevens

'The Laughing Apple', just released, is very entertaining. I'm a fan from 60s/70s, and some of the tracks are unreleased from then, and others from the now 72 year old. I had read an unfavourable review, but I bought (24 bit download) anyway and I'm glad I did. If you ever liked his stuff, buy this and enjoy!

Ok, it's Friday. He is 69, not 72, and the correct spelling is 'Yusef'. Apart from that, enjoy!
Yusuf but who's counting.
Heard it on spotify today, very pleasant but will have to give it a few more goes to see if it is up there with his earlier stuff. Some reviews have been very complimentary.
Streaming from Qobuz this Joseph's Album now.
I really enjoyed and have his early albums but it bugs me these days as I don't know what to call him. Dylan changed his faith and kept his indentity.
WTF!

He's always Cat Stevens to me!
£16.78 for 33 minutes they're having a laugh
Qobuz BTW
Hdtracks $17.98, less 15% with coupon, worked out at €13.22. - or £11.56.
But even at £16.78 I would have bought it happily.
Cousins making Turkey dinner last year I put on Teaser and The Firecat. Jed was amazed at the sound (of course superior electronics) then said every song here was a hit and played often on radio. I'd just arrived in coastal California at 16, Beatles divorced and there was Cat Stevens and Elton John stepping right up to fill the void.
I met him a few years ago. Nice chap but his breath stinked of old fish. And his whiskers grazed when he gave me a big hug.

I don't see how anyone who supported a call for the murder of an author for the crime of writing a book that the dictator of a foreign state happened to disagree with can be called a "nice chap" but different strokes for different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
I heard for very few minutes on Youtube, and for this very little time i'd say to prefer the previous Yusuf - Tell 'Em I'm Gone.
