Unity Core

Do you have any preference from the core, ethernet or the BNC coax in terms of sound quality?
I tried both when I first had the Core but find I use the Ethernet connection more often than not. I honestly couldn’t detect a difference. If there is one, to these ears it’s no night and day! I still keep the Naim DC1 coax connected should I want to have another play at a future date.
Thanks, pretty much the same for me, but I have a Belden 1649a which is much cheaper, hence the curiosity.
David Hendon posted:No you don't need to leave the drive plugged in to the Core. Once you have copied the music you can delete the external drive as a Music Share and just unplug it.
I would restart the Core and if you get the flashing button again then you could delete some of the latest music you copied into the downloads folder to see whether that helps I suppose. And maybe give Manu a ring and see if he has any suggestions.
But I have never seen this flashing power button issue myself.

I ended up deleting all those files I imported the other day,and all is good again...no flashing power button.I am not sure what I did wrong there, but I think I will try just plugging the external drive into the USB and see what happens.
thanks

I suspect that you aren't doing anything wrong, There will apparently be a new Core firmware release in a month or so and maybe that will fix this issue.

I hope the update solves some of the issues, for now I will just leave the external drive plugged into the Core, which seems to work fine. The Core is gradually adding all the albums from the external drive to my "albums" as I write this, and they all seem to play fine.My only issue is that I don't like the appearance of the drive sitting on the Fraim shelf next to the Core.
Is it possible to delete an album? I would like to know how

Sorry, been on an aeroplane.
Yes. You select the album in the Core part of the app and then tap the three dots (top right hand corner in an iPhone). Delete album is one of the options in the drop down menu.

Yes it is but you have to be looking at the album in the Core part of the app, not in the upnp part of a streamer part of the app.

I just checked on the release app (5.8.1) on an iPhone 5 and delete album is available not only through the Core room but also in a streamer room Upnp view, contrary to what I said above. However it's only available on albums you have ripped on the Core (or imported rips from US/HDX) and not on albums you put into the download folder yourself.

I saw that I can`t delete from download folder, only what you rip into the core, but again David I couldn`t find the way to delete a track, need more help from you.
I don't think there is a way to delete a single track or if there is I can't find it either. You can delete a track from a playlist I think, but that is different.
