Tidal - NYC High Speed Drop outs

Hi all,

Having happily lived with flawless Tidal for the last year it is for the last week doing its stop start business. We are in a pretty high speed area (30MPS down/ 48MPS up) and with latency sub 35ms.

Any other NYC users out there struggling?

This may have nothing whatsoever to do with your problem but have you had any changes to your modem recently?

It's been established that the dropouts have nothing to do with connection speed and is probably being caused by latency peaks. Tidal only started dropping out for me when my internet service was upgraded from 100/200Mbps to 300Mbps which necessitated a modem change. It turns out the new modem has got a chip with a known fault in that it does regular "housekeeping" which causes huge latency spikes, it's all explained in this thread: https://forums.naimaudio.com/to...pouts-probable-cause
