How did our American friends fare in the recent Earthquake?

Just heard from a friend of mine who lives there. He described it as the weirdest ten seconds of his life. Didn't say anything about damage.

Here in Christchurch (NZ) we've been having earthquakes at 5+ on the scale pretty much every week or so for months now.

Not a lot of fun.

Weird how the East Coast of the US had a quake given the scarcity of such events in that part of the world...

Seems the earth's plates are going walkies.
