SuperUniti & Airplay

Anyone managed to spot any reference to Airplay support in the specs or during conversations with Naim guys at the Summer Roadshows. It would seem odd to introduce a new streamer at this point in the year without an indication of when Naim are going to include at least a nod towards DAAP based streaming.

Rendering support for Apple Lossless (ALAC) files is a necessary start, though I suspect that many would prefer to accept delivery of this product sooner than to wait for Apple certification for AirPlay compatibility in software.

Worth noting is the presence of a mini-USB socket on the rear of the unit for software update purposes–make of this what you will.

David, so there's nothing (hardware-wise) stopping current "Apple ID chip"-equipped players from achieving AirPlay support via firmware upgrade, right?

AirPlay and Made for iPod licensing / certification are two wholly separate things.
