Two box NAP V145?

Not likely to have been an "out of hours project" (although many of us here have heavily tweaked or modded bits of kit in our collections that were personal projects) as it has a serial number so it must have been a legitimate internal build. It's a little bit before my time here.

Unless it was done by somebody outside the factory.  I've seen one or two "zapped" 300s and it wouldn't take too much to adapt a NAPV175 to operate from a working 300PS.

Have to admit, I don't ever recall such a thing being made at Naim while I was there, but who knows.  Worth a few questions I'd say, and ultimately I'd trust Naim's word over anybody elses as to whether it's a factory job or not.

The serial numbers should provide the answers.

It has raised a few eyebrows here as I've just been speaking to a few people.

I've got a standard 145, so it's not something i'd be interested in buying (I've enough boxes already!), just thought it would be worth a mention to you guys but without providing a link of course. 

You can never have too many boxes ... I started out with three and now have (IIRC) nineteen.

And i thought i was doing bad (good?) with 11! Ok, 4 of those are Rega boxes but you get the idea. 

I'd hate to see the Fraim racks housing that self-build active system in the New Forest!
