Stolen Naim

Posted by: Dalamtian on 13 October 2017

A while back I sold my Naim Unitilite and sent it via a courier, the Unitilite was “lost” in transit and after a lot of effort I managed to claim the value back. I was wondering if there was a place where the serial number could be recorded in case it turns up or so that someone could check before buying used Naim equipment?

Perhaps one for Richard Dane, can Naim keep the serial number on file as a stolen item, with supporting documentation?

Naim keep a register of stolen items. Just contact them with the serial number.

Spelling it's incorrectly. There are strict rules in place.

I'm guessing that maybe you mentioned other forums which you could use to publicise the theft, and possibly alert potential buyers. I'd say that was a good idea, but we all know the rules.

You got your money. I'd put the matter to bed. Life is too short. What's the gain for you at this point?

You have guessed correctly but rules are rules and I stepped over the line.

I’m not trying to “gain” anything, as I said I have been reimbursed. I’d hate for anyone to buy a piece of equipment only to find its stolen if, for example, it was sent to Naim for a service. It would be nice to be able to check a database if buying used Naim equipment.
