No that’s wrong, I was not even in the same room, it took a few minutes at most. Try putting into standby and trying again, if that fails disconnect power for a few minutes and try again.

That’s great , always a bit worrying when it freezes up during a firmware download, alls well that ends well.

I had the same issue with an Atom.  Disconnected power and re-powered. No luck. The home screen showed but the power/standby button was flashing slowly. The Atom was showing in the app but unresponsive. The remote was being ignored as well.

Chris Murphy our NZ distributor suggested unplugging, then powering up with the power/standby button pressed and held for 30 seconds.

This worked and the Atom finished its update and returned to the home screen ready for duties.
