Hi I was just wondering what the difference will be when I have had the supercap 2 serviced will I get a bit more bass
Doubtful - I take it that you are lacking bass at the moment. What are the speakers (whole system overview would be good) and have you tried experimenting with placement ?
You might get a tighter grip on it, are you getting DRs too?

Hi james my system is nac 202 supercap2 ,linn akurate 242 speakers ,linn akurate ds ,nap 300dr ,melco na1 hard drive ,teliruim ultra black interconnect ,teliruim green speaker cable.
Just been to class a today to get supercap serviced by darren what a top guy ,got it back home and it sounds great already.
Glad the serviced Supercap is doing the business. It should get even better over the next few days as the new components run in. Maybe give your system a couple of weeks and then re-assess whether you need more bass ?

Hi james ,I moved the speakers two inches closer to the wall and it made a big difference thanks.

Going to buy 252 in the new year so hopefully it will sound awesome .
252 will just sound great.
I'm afraid i strayed from the path a few years ago and now have a Melco N1a into a Devialet 220 Pro and Shahinian Compass speakers.
Be careful with the 252. Some really like it and some don't so i'd caution against buying one without auditioning. It's a great pre-amp, don't get me wrong, but it's one you really need to hear against a 282 in your own room and system when you want to move up from the 202.

Aha -the old debate. Have to say though as a 282 owner I’d take a 252.
Yeah I think it will be 252 then that's the end of the road for me , I would have to spend silly money to better my system.
