Atom USB inputs do not recognize CD or smartphone

I suspect the usb socket is only for storage devices. That’s what the website suggests, anyway. 

HH is correct, the USB ports are only for memory sticks and hard drives. Naim’s original intention was for them to work with iPhones too (as with the old streamers) but Apple wouldn’t allow this, and they had to remove this facility in order to obtain an Airplay license. 

Thank you. It would have been nice to have the option of at least listening to the music in your phone directly with a USB cable -once you have the option of Bluetooth. The combo of Apple Music-aptX from my smartphone sometimes fails and jumps to the next song (I don't know which link is failing -Bluetooth or my internet line).

I find strange though that there is no manual for such a product. I didn't get more than a paper quick user guide in the box and haven't been able to find a full manual online.

Apart from that, very good sound and a solid machine.

There are some 3rd party apps which will allow you to use Airplay on Android phones. Using WiFi, this should give you a more reliable connection than Bluetooth which I find to be unreliable.

There is no manual as such. Naim expect you to use the on-line support wizard which you can find on their website.
