NACA5 Question

My Naca5 cable is now 21 years old. Would there be any performance increase if I went with newer Naca5 cable?

Does it degrade over time?

It might be worth getting new plug put on the ends but that's it

Not really. Just clean the plugs and possibly have new ones soldered on if they have worn out.

If you resolder the plugs, strip back some insulation, and make sure there is no discolouring on the wire, so that you are soldering nice clean copper onto the plugs. Sometimes this involves removing a few inches of wire at each end - hopefully this won't shorten the cables too much for your setup.

I am in a similar position and was jolly glad that I reterminated mine. My local hifi shop of the time had made a right pigs ear of the soldered connectors. Cannot say I heard much difference but was reassuring to know that all was good
