Royd Eden stands?

Posted by: Bob the Builder on 11 November 2017

I have acquired a pair of Royd Eden as a temporary speaker whilst I sell mine to raise the funds to upgrade and what a fantastic little speaker I don't even have any decent stands yet they are plonked on top of my floor standers (Mrs Bob is loving that look) I cannot believe a speaker that cost £80 could sound so good on the end of a 282/300.

I believe that Linn Kan stands go very well with Edens but they are getting quite expensive and as these are temporary speakers I'm not prepared to pay £150 for a set of stands but I have found these that I think may work Pyle PSTND14 sold at Thomsons online don't know how to post a link but if you google them they come up, if anyone has experience with Edens/Kans and has a minute I would be very grateful if they could take a look  and at £37 they look ideal.

They are much too tall. You want 60cm stands. And to ask Richard to edit the thread title!

The Kan stands may go for a highish price but they are easy to sell on when you need to. Enjoy the Royd speakers. I ran pair of Sintras for a number of years and they were superb

Please not THE GRAMMAR!! HH I'm on my third bottle of San Miguel mate.

So it wouldn't be helpful to point out that HH was suggesting a correction of spelling not grammar then? Oh, and you really need a comma after "Miguel".

Well Bob is on the Road to finding new speakers and the Edens are a stop-off point along the way so not an inappropriate title. Stands to reason (sorry).

There you go Bob, dug you out of a hole.

I'll get me coat.

Kan II stands are ideal here and shouldn't cost more than 50-100 quid a pair secondhand. Loads out there.

IIRC Our own Mr Meredith rather liked Edens at times...

And in this case I will edit the title to Royd as it's the correct name.

Thank you for the English lessons perhaps I should build some stands out of dictionary's or dictionaries.

I Have just purchased some Heywood open framed speaker stands on eBay 2 inches shorter than the Kan stands but other than that they look just the job and for £50 I will give them a go.

P.s  is the spelling/grammar ok?
