Minimserver won't launch
Posted by: dikkiedirk on 13 November 2017
Sorry to ask this question here, but I can't register at the minimserver forum because I can't find the correct answer to the security question, how silly huh?
I decided to give minimserver a try and installed it on a Windows 7 PC and later on my Windows 2012 server. They ran just fine serving music to my Unitiqute. But this morning the fun was over minimserver failed to launch on both PC and server. Has anyone experienced this earlier? Can this be due to a Java update?
If you have Java 9 then you need MinimServer update 106.
Well I have java 8 update 151 and I am in mimimserver 0.8.4. I don't know about minimserver update 106.
That should be OK then. What do the Minimserver logs say?

I have to admit that means nothing to me. Are you running MinimWatch? What do the logs using MinimWatch say (right click on the Minim icon in the system tray)?
You are better to persevere in getting logged into the Minim forum, where Simon will be able to help you.
I have gone back to Asset upnp. Minimwatch turned red saying Integrity check failed for file minimserver.config.
A forum where I can't signup to because of a security question is of no use to me. Sorry Simon.
I miss interpreted the security, didn't see the difference between line and sentence because English isn't my 1st language.
Simon helped me out though.
But there is something wrong and Simon issued update 108 of minimserver.
You can read about it here:
