Dynavector stageline

Posted by: richard999 on 17 November 2017

This week i upgraded my mega rp3 with a techno weight (fitted by a professional) i.e. Doug Brady Hifi and a Dynavector 20x2 H. They work very nicely into my stage line N / hicap. Im very impressed coming from a gelding 1042 hehehehe ....... Soon I'm inline for a nac202 (i like the sound) and don't have the budget for a 282 etc but was wondering if running the stage line on aux2 would sound ok? I do plan on a hicap later on, but would it be so bad?

Not at all Richard.   When I first had my Roksan I ran my Stageline powered by the 282 and it worked brilliantly.  Dynavector and the Naim Phonos are a great match.

Lindsay

ahh cheers Lindsay, Thats good to hear! I got the dynavector after hearing the low output version on my fathers LP12. yes linn and mega are totally different but You can still get an idea of how the cartridge sound, or its character. I intended to go for the 10x5 but thought i may as well go an extra step as it will be for a few years....

I really like the stage line N, it has a nice musical sound, not all hifi.

As Lindsay says, you are going to be fine on Aux2.

Loved the bit about a Technoweight being fitted by 'a professional' ;-)

From another DV/ Stageline guy, enjoy your records.
