Naim 5 Pin Din to 5 Pin Din - Directional ?

Just a quick question ..

Does anyone know if the standard grey Naim 5 Pin Din cable is directional?

The only thing I can see on the cable is a small green band nearer one end

Yes it is. The band goes to the source. Just like it shows in the manual.

I've been messing about with other cables but have come back to the standard Naim grey 5 pin and it just sounds 'right' to me

The grey cable is not much to look at, actually I think it looks a bit cheap but it does perform very well indeed so it's staying in the system now

Why does it sound so good though ?
