New UNITI series – Servers/UPNP only accessible by app not by remote

Is there any way to navigate to UPNP/Servers on the new UNITI series? It's driving me mad that I MUST use the app. For many occasions it would be much, much easier to use the remote instead. Like in the good old "green" days – the 172/272 or the old UNITIs worked just fine this way...

Wow looks like I am not the only one who thought it was crazy that naim decided to not include this in their new Uniti range.
Im sure I read that it will be added at a later date. But for me the app is far quicker and I would never use it, I suspect many people just use the app even with the legacy devices that have this ability so it may not be a priority.
For me it is very important and a priority to use the remote for upnp control.

As is for me, and the rest of my family, who also use the hi-fi. The remote makes things much easier. The remote lives in front of the hi-fi, but a smartphone or tablet might not. I will probably re-visit the new uniti range at some point, once some of those features are re-introduced with new firmware. For now I'll enjoy my new SuperUniti.
Hi, It bugs me that I cannot use the remote for choosing the music from my UPNP server. Ok the App is quicker but.. I have to find my phone or ipad. usually one of them is discharged but even if it isn't I have to unlock the device, find the app, start the app, wait for it to connect to naim streamer. All this takes lots of time. Picking up remote is easy as someone above said, the remote is always next to the streamer, always accessible. At the moment I have to use both at the same time. My phone or Ipad to choose the music and the remote to change the volume (not worth waking up the phone just to change the volume and it takes too long - my wife is not the most patient person in the world).

Indeed, the app is okay, but not great - on Android anyway. So I've since switched to using bubble uPnp which for me works better and doesn't need to re-connect to the streamer every time I launch it. However, my number one controller is still the remote which is the most handy and just works. never needs to be 'quit and re-started', and the whole family knows how to use it. It still puzzles me why the function was ommited from the new uniti range. And it angers me as it forced to go with the older generation Uniti, which will loose naim support much sooner.
I would think that they probably dropped that functionality because of the additional development and test-fix effort required (and that they were already "late" getting the uniti to production) - Common during software application development cycles. Alternatively, they may have decided that the "app" is their "strategic" method of controlling their devices going forward and put the effort to implement or support for the same functionality in the remote elsewhere...
Timster - I hope that you're wrong. New Uniti range is a fantastic, good quality living room device. As such should be accessible by everyone . Even my 8 years old daughter was able to change select her faworite music on the old Uniti we had using the remote. It looks that I have to buy her a phone....or ipad. It looks that not beign able to utilise the remote to fully control the Uniti is a bit of waste of nice screen and remote. I was checking some screnshoots of the Uniti Star display available on the internet and some of them show definitely something like browsing throught the albums artwork in alphabetical order...so I have serious hope that this is just a delay in providing such ability.
