What could be wrong with my SL2?

Dear Guys

Any thoughts of what could possibly be wrong with my SL2?

About 1.5 years back, I bought a pair of used SL2. I tried it at the second hand dealer and all was well. When I first brought it home and set it up, I remember distinctly that there was no sound from one of the tweeters. I moved that tweeter around a little and the sound came back on and off and after a while, it was fine (or so I thought).

Fast forward about 1 year plus, one of the tweeters totally died on me. I strongly suspect it is that same tweeter, though I didn’t mark it. In any case, got my dealer to come and changed both the tweeters with a pair for Naim. When he was doing the change, we found out that that dead tweeter has been changed before.  After he changed both tweeters, all was well again.

Then, just last night, I realized that there was again no sound from the tweeter from that same speaker. Again, I moved the tweeter a little and the sound came back. Since then, I have not played my system. Will get my dealer to check for me.

But what could be wrong with that speaker? So all in all, that speaker has had 2 tweeters changed (at least) and its on its 3rd tweeter. Could it be the some loose connection on the crossover instead? Any suggestions?

In which case a fault in xover 1 could blow the tweeter in speaker 2. At least you'll have your answer.

I'd opt for having the xovers checked, starting upfront with xover 1 (the one with a history of blowing tweeters).
