Spotify / Tidal free trial?

Apologies up front if I missed this in the forum searches just completed.
Q: Is there a free trial period for either streaming service still available?
A friend was on the phone tonight and has bought her partner a Muso for Xmas and was asking which service was best. I explained some of the differences but currently have no idea if either can be tried foc. Also the lucky recipient is a big Bob Dylan fan, so anyone with an idea of the best folk related 'catalogue' please let me know!
