DSD DAC V1 using Audiovana 3.1

I have attached a DAC V1 to a Mac Air on OS X Sierra using USB. When I configure Audiovana to send DSD directly to the Dac V1 all I hear is hissing with the music very faint in the background. If I use PCM I hear the music fine.

To my knowledge the V1 firmware is up to date at V16. DSP Dav v0.0.52 DSP Dac Boot V1.0.0 IR Sys : 22

Audiovana picks up that DSD64 and DSD128 are supported by the dac. I configure Audiovana using DSD over PCM standard 1.0 (also tried 1.1 but no luck). All Bit Perfect tests pass.

Going from DAC V1 to Naim Supernauit 2

Any suggestions?

Current firmware : APP 1.16 DSP DAC V.0.13.10

Thanks - that fixed it. I did check for firmware updates and 1.16 was listed with no other info so I added it again and sure enough the DAC needed an update. Be nice if they told us about that but a GREAT THANKS anyway as it fixed the problem.

Glad to be of help - it was a significant upgrade in musicality IMO (in addition to DSD playback). I hope you enjoy it!
