System Pics 2018

Welcome to System Pics 2018.
To start things off, here are a couple of pictures of my setup. There have been some big changes over the past year; a 300 and a 555PS, and some extra shelves to accommodate them.
Hi MORT2k
I can answer that for you,I have the GAIA 111s under my Dynaudio speakers. They screw right into your speakers, replacing the spikes...they come with 3 different threaded pieces that you can use. They are M-6,M-8,and 1/4-20 thread sizes, and you can also request different sizes,if need be,when you order them.
Thanks

If members wish to discuss further the morality and ethics of purchasing hi-fi kit then by all means, please do so, but could you take it to a new thread, preferably in the Padded Cell. Thanks.
And so, in the spirit of this thread, here's another shot of the Rega playing some Thomas Dolby...
Very nice. Here's the Hana working on some No Doubt... loving it so far
My first steps on the Naim ladder.... (everything is level, my camera isn't).
And what a great first step; it looks really nice. One small suggestion if I may - set the 272’s screen to be blank when not in use. If you have the clock showing you will significantly reduce the screen’s life, and new ones are not cheap.

Many thanks for your encouraging words and informative suggestion.
I have followed your advice and the screen is now blank when not in use.
Mike.

Nice to see a bit of colour on the walls instead of the usual sterile white!

What catched me most were the storage boxes. Sorry to all using the pragmatic ikea kallax!
I stumbled across the storage boxes via Fleabay but ended up buying them direct from the store (not sure if I'm allowed to say who exactly). They worked out a bit cheaper buying direct.
I then ended up buying one for my brother as a Christmas present. I think he liked it, well I hope he did.
I should also point out that this is not my living room, but my 'man cave' as the rest of the family call it. It is in fact the third bedroom and it's ideal for me and my music.
Nice setup TK421.
Gyrodec with DV-20X2 on the end of a standard RB300 arm, sounds very good
Oh but how I love the look of a Gyrodec. My all time favourite!
Newly arrived Ortofon SPU Royal GM II on TD-124 Mk I with RMG-212 tonearm.
Have gotten very used to the EMT sound over the years, so this is something very different but equally enjoyable. Also, thanks to all for the very kind comments on my previous post!

Mike, you are lucky: a few years ago you'd have been crucified for keeping the system and the disc boxes between the speakers. The times they have a-changed.

Hi Max,
The room is so compact that I don't really have a choice. When I first set it up I did have the electronics and rack against the wall to the right (as you look at the photos).
I just couldn't live with it from an aesthetics view point. It looked all wrong to me. I can and do move the disc boxes.
Having said all this it still sounds fantastic to me and a few of my friends have been blown away too. I have had separates before, but nothing of this quality.
Cheers,
Mike.
Mike,
thank heavens, still someone places aesthetics and daily life requests before those of the system.
Enjoy and my best wishes,
Max

That's an interesting looking setup, Emme. What are the speakers ?
I thought it was about time I had a Spring Clean and sorted out my system. I made an extra platform to hold my 250 away from my XPS which is on the main stack. I also gave more space to each piece of kit as well and tidied up the cables. I am really pleased with the result. I am quite sure that the sound has regained its sparkle and the music is more coherent. This photo was taken just before Spurs and Arsenal took to the field when proceedings had to be put on hold.....

The speakers are Davone Mojo (danish manufacturer), an unusual compact omnidirectional model.
