Welcome to System Pics 2018.
To start things off, here are a couple of pictures of my setup. There have been some big changes over the past year; a 300 and a 555PS, and some extra shelves to accommodate them.
Thanks, yes it is
Its the Milan Reference 10 and quite a nicely finished bit of kit although i am still wondering if i made the right choice to go with Oak rather than the walnut, it does suit will in the lighter wood though and am quite happy )
I have the Cherry wood, very nicely finished????
just had a look at your profile, lovely system

At the risk of repeating myself I do love a pair of SBLs. Lovely!

Drdavid posted:S3 posted:Drdavid posted:S3 posted:Drdavid posted:Hi DrDavid, do you mean the oak platforms or the glass?
I was asking about the glass. Reading your post again (more properly!) I see that you refer to fraim glass but where did you get just the glass platform from? Thanks, appreciate the replies (and your system looks beautiful....)
From my local glass merchant. I gave him the exact Naim specs (from the forum) showed him a picture of the fraim and he ordered from his supplier. They are very good quality and the “ding” is there too!
Thanks for that. I shall investigate further at some point; will involve some re-arranging of the various boxes which always fills me with dread as to then being able to wire up properly again!
Hi,
May i ask how you got the balls and the ball-stands? It would be nice to see some detaild photos of your solution. I'm interested in order a glass platform for my Nova.
Thanks in advance
/Joakim
Joakim, you can buy genuine Naim cups and balls from your dealer, or some dealers such as Tomtom Audio in the UK may be able to supply by mail. Others have tried DIY solutions such as an ordinary ball bearing sitting in a hex nut, which costs almost nothing.

Thanks ChrisSU,
I have found everything i need, ordered glass from the local glass merchant and got some balls on the hook. May i ask if you, or someone else here might know what diameter / size and weight the ball is?

Sorry, I don’t know! I may try some Fraim glass under my boxes too, but I don’t have any now. Maybe a Fraim owner can help?

What a beauty.May I know how large is your room?
Sorry for the late reply, been away.
My room is 4.66 metres Long, 3.48 metres Wide.
I really wanted the speakers firing lengthways, but I couldn't accommodate the TV. The oak unit is going and the TV will go on the wall.
Meerkat,
I presume you have already experimented with speaker positioning. However, as fellow Twenty5 26 owner, I find I get a more balanced sound with speakers further into the room. Looking at your photo, I would say the back of the speakers to be approximately level with the front of the cabinet. I know all rooms are different and I have the offset of a bay window to achieve the distance from rear wall.

Would be fun to see a review comparing BSN2 to NDX2

At last I understand what is meant by the references to clock positions when people talk about volume levels! Having only owned a SuperUniti and 272 I’d assumed all Naim volume controls were similar! Must admit, the green dots on the balance and volume knobs are a good idea.
@MPW: Probably 13 people like my remote...
Joking. I'll take a fresh pic of my system. An older one already is here somewhere, but I must update it with the Nait XS2 in the place of the former SN1. Not a huge difference, in visual terms. But I'm happy that 13 people saw the spirit with which I took – entirely by chance – the pic you see now. It's simply the other half of the usual system pic, isn't it?
Best

Hi - those stands look fantastic - could you let me know whether these have the standard size top plate to fit the Tab 10s or did you have to request a custom size?
I've currently got a pair of Tab 10 sigs on home demo (272 and Nap 200) and am very impressed so far - if I go for them I would also want stands like these.
Cheers.
Standard size 165mm W x 180mm D.
The back theres around 20mm top plate that the rear of the speaker does not cover but from the front I don't see this even the sides it's not that visible.

I'm pleased you are enjoying the sigs they are an amazing speaker and a nice lift in performance over the standard tabs.
Heavy mass stands do make a difference and the SQ404 are shipped as standard with 8x bags of inert filler for each pillar.
