On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Haim, our problems may be similar but certainly not equally temper[atur]ed. It is way colder here by many country miles (or kilometres).
However, our solution to the cold is the same. This is the fifth time this week that I listened to Sir András Schiff at the 2017 Proms playing Book I of the WTC. Leaving all opinion aside, this is a man who knows this music and it gives me pure joy to experience this over and over. Not many people in our lifetimes can demonstrate this level and ability with this music. A wonderful thing to behold indeed and my already high opinion of Schiff has just gone through the roof.

I had the U.K. Verve L.P. way back when...and flogged it for a pittance to Reddingtons Rare Records in Birmingham when I was hard up. Grrr. Replaced it a few years back with the Akarma CD box set.
The first two albums are excellent. The third (with Jeff ”Skunk” Baxter no less) not so much.
Now Playing......
Alexi Murdoch - Four Songs
Streaming from TIDAL........ Taking Alexi out for a spin following the mention from EWEMON above....... I do have his towards the sun album on iTunes and have not played it for awhile. He also performed most of the song on the soundtrack for the movie "Away We Go" which I also purchased. Highly recommend the movie if you enjoy a wonderful story line and comedy.

Indeed. That second difficult album(and this one was very difficult). I’d forgotten I had this album until I heard “Jazz Thing” this afternoon on the wireless.
I put this on while I was washing the dishes, intending to play something else once that task had been completed. But I've just listened to it all. That's what happens when Sandy Denny sings.
Diana Krall - The Girl in The Other Room
I got the nudge when I saw it here fairly recently. An album I've had since my valve [tube] and LS3/5a days but not played on my Naims until a week ago. Sounding fantastic. Warmth and timing.
Now Playing.......
Dianne Reeves - I Remember
Dianne Reeves (vocals), Bobby Hutcherson (vibes), Greg Osby (saxophone), Mulgrew Miller (piano), Billy Childs (piano), Donald Brown (piano), Charles Mims (piano), Charnett Moffett (bass), Chris Severin (bass), Billy Kilson (drums), Marvin Smitty Smith (drums), Ron Powell (percussion), Bill Summers (percussion), Luis Conte (percussion), and Kevin Eubanks (Guitar).
Streaming on TIDAL....... I had placed this in the Tidal queue a while back and just now taking Dianne out for a spin. She is sounding mighty fine!

Superalbum during workout..
Breakfast treat....
'Adrift off the Islets of Langerhans' is an album of majestic, brooding mood music from Yorkshire’s master of ambience, Cousin Silas. The atmosphere ranges from the menacing to the pastoral, from the joyous to the serene.

I’m glad you’re enjoying it. It was a kind of rediscovery for me last year after I spotted it on my NS01. Great voice, great album.
