On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Still up there as probably my favourite album. Every track's superb, just lovely.
Quad 33 posted:This is an excellent album from 1998 by the late Ronny Jordan. His music is both beautiful and melodic while also containing hip-hop/jazz all molded together. Fans of the West Wing may remember a classic scene where C.J. Cregg "Does The Jackal" definitely worth checking out if you like George Benson type smooth jazz guitar playing.

Great stuff, Graham. There’s also that cool version of Come with Me with Tania Maria. Smooooooth!
Hope you’re well.
I fancied listening to Joni before cooking dinner.

Another in a very long list of artists that I miss very much and who were taken too young.
Goldfrapp - Black Cherry - CDX2 + XPSDR
Sounds amazing with all the microphonic effects the XPSDR brings out of the CDX2. The Goldfrapp sound is based on electronic effects so enjoy.

Remaster by Denis Blackham from 2005 - compressed within an inch of its life.
More Pendragon and this one even more recent, interesting that Roon punter comments fail to exist for many albums and artists that are slightly off the mainstream...

Graham, I don’t know where you’ve been looking but I found 2013 pressings for around £20.00 and even a 1976 AM reissue for £16.00.

First spin. Isabelle Faust's long awaited recording of Bach's violin sonatas. Kristian Bezuidenhout is known for the fortepiano, but he proves to be great at the harpsichord, too. I'll withhold judgement until I've played through the album in its entirety a couple of times, but initial impression is excellent.
Listening through hires flac on DVD-R.
Cheers,

Yep, the Shads have been around since the beginning. They were with Cliff in the 1850s!
Even slightly off-colour Can is 99% better than most music. And besides, it's got "Vernal Equinox" on it. Original UK first pressing, from 1975:
It may well be a new year but it's time for some old Ozrics.
On Vinyl
I haven’t played this in ages
