**HELP** Restoring to a new UnitiCore from a NAS drive
Posted by: deepinsight on 31 December 2017
I've just unboxed my brand new UnitiCore and installed it onto my network, updated the firmware and now want to restore my Music Library from the LQ and MQ directories which were the backup directories of my old UnitiServe.
Trouble is, in the UnitiCore App on my iPad I go to Settings, Manage Music, Restore from Backup, Restore Music to a New Store I see "No drives found".
Similarly Import Music and Configure Music Shares both report "No drives found".
Under Manage Music Stores, View Network Drives again I get the message, "No drives found".
So - The share settings workgroup is the same as on my PC. The UC appears as UNITICORE in my network drives via file explorer under Windows 10 on my PC. I tried copying from the NS drive folders LQ and MQ but the UC has protected drives and will not permit a copy that way. It does however permit a copy od the LQ and MQ directories to the 'downloads' folder on the UC's HDD.
So, essentially what I'm asking for is how to get the new ( and empty ) UC ( with a brand new formatted 2TB HDD ) to see and read the drives of my NAS devices so that I can restore the 1K+ CDs that I ripped to the previous US ( which has had a new HDD following the failure of it's 5 month old one ! ).
