What sleep mode? Network sleep or Deep sleep? The unit is supposed to go into Network sleep automatically after a period that you can adjust in the app. You can still browse music and play it by upnp over the network in this mode. But you have to wake it if you want to rip a CD for example.

Not sure if the same but for me when streaming from Core to QB the music has stopped abruptly twice these past few day. Prior to the abrupt stop there were no intermittent dropouts. When going back into the app I can start as normal....odd...

David, sorry for the not clear question. The core will go to sleep as playing song suddenly, it required replay the song to wake it up.

Is this with a direct connection between the Core and your streamer or is it using upnp over a network?

So if you can restart the song from the app then it's going into Network sleep not deep sleep.

Have you tried altering the auto-sleep setting in the app? You could set it to "Never" to give that a try. It saves almost no power going into Network sleep anyway.

I connect the core to my streamer use the DC1 (digital ouput) directly and the auto sleep function is run on the idle status but my situation is appear on playing song.

When it happens is the app still running?  Are you still connected to your network?

Probably worthwhile emailing Naim support on this.

I posted a reply a while ago but it obviously didn't get through the rubbish mobile network I was on.

What I said was that the Core goes into Network sleep regardless of whether it's playing or not. This doesn't affect upnp at all and you can browse the music with the app while the Core is on Network sleep. But I'm not sure that if you are directly connected whether this will continue to work when the Core goes into Network sleep, so I suggested setting the Network sleep timer to Never and see if that solves your problem.

Or contact Naim support and ask them, as Richard suggests.

Hi Richard Dane,

It happen around after 4-5 songs and the app also show the song is stopped.

And i didn't mention as before, the core eject button also no light.

Anyway, I already sent email to Naim Support, let wait them update.
