Cables and plugs for atom > focal aria

I'm wondering what I need to buy to connect an atom to arias? Do I just need stereo cables with banana plugs at both ends?

Also, if anyone wants to recommend brands, feel free. Nothing too crazy, no £1,500 examples please!

I would recommend standard Naim naca5; comes in at £32 a metre, it’s what Naim recommend and used in their demo of atom, Nova and Star when I saw them last year. I would use the Naim plugs which should have come with Atom for the amp, and banana types for speaker end. Measure up the length you need, take in the amp plugs and get your dealer to make the cables up for you.

Oh, so the atom has to use some proprietary type of plug at its end? I haven't received the atom yet, so wasn't aware. Lucky, as I have been close to ordering cables with plugs both ends a few times (looking at the chord epic range). A bit annoying that I'd have to take whatever cables I purchase plus the naim plugs into an audio shop to get them modified. Especially as I didn't purchase my hardware there....awkward.

The Atom comes with a pair of speaker plugs with pins spaced in a holder designed to fit to the Nova speaker sockets.   The pins are 4mm banana pin standard & normal single banana plugs can be used if you want.

Ah, so it's more of an optimised design to lessen the stress on the posts?

Naim see it as a safety issue, you cannot fit the Naim plugs into a 240 v socket, banana plugs you can.

The plugs illustrated above are a perfect metal to metal match for the sockets - so best use them. For your speakers go for the same - the best metal to metal match for the Focal Arias. If that's an unknown then my personal favourite connectors for all situations are Deltron 4mm bananas.  And they're inexpensive too.  Just make sure that whoever fits them can solder properly...

Thanks, everyone.
