It's the small button on the right hand side of the front panel of the 300PS.
If you don't push it in, nothing comes out of the speakers!
asked my dealer this morning to get my 300 serviced and moreover DR - changed earlier this year from 200 to 300 which was a real upgrade, prob the biggest step up for me since i began the journey some 17 years ago - 202 to 282 was very good and certainly added a lot more detail but the 300 was a real WOW moment when added
rest of system LP12, NDX,282,HCDR, Fraim - ideally if funds allow this year 555 for the NDX or SC for 282
Lovely amp the 300. So musical and full of detail and subtle poise. Not that it can't rock on demand. From what I've heard the DR allows it to sound even more 300 like.
Good call, Anthony. You won't regret it. I used a 300DR with a 282 for a while and it works a treat, though I used a SCDR on the 282.
ANTHONY D,
A couple of questions if I may as my system is similar and I have a upgrade in mind.
Did you try a 250dr before deciding on the 300.?.The 250 dr was my next potential upgrade.
Have you tried a psu on the ndx or a supercap on the 282.? I ask a super-cap on my 282 maybe a better upgrade than moving from my 200 to 250dr.
I couldn't unfortunately justify a 555 but I purchased a xps2 dr and was very, very happy with what it done for my ndx.

I see you are relatively new to this forum. it would be very helpful if you could provide details of your current system in your profile. In that way you might benefit from the huge amount of knowledge available on this forum. Many members have wide experience of the potential upgrades you are thinking about.
Whoa... hold on there. Let's get things in perspective, please... SC for 282 has to be the higher priority. The 555 on an NDX will be good, but nowhere near what an upgraded 282 can give you,
BTW, I'm thinking hard but as far as I can recall my 300 didn't have a 'Go' button... have they changed things?
The logo goes in on a spring. Very difficult to get it to work but with hours of practice it is possible.

Ok,will do AndrewG,thanks.
To get the ball rolling.
ndx - xps2 dr - 282 - hicap dr - napsc - 200 - bowers + Wilkins pm1's
The DR upgrade on the 300 is a wonderful thing. I did it before the Supercap powering my 252 (ordered before Xmas) and the 555 on my NDX (perhaps in 2019). You will love it.
I went in that order because I bought my 300 just before the pre-DR discount, which left a bit racked off. However, I don’t think the order is that important as it’s all good.

I can echo this sentiment. No doubt the NAC 282 and Hicap DR form a well balanced system but you've got to get those two outputs of the 282 connected to realise its full potential.

spent a day on demo's with my dealer going through all the options early last year to get a plan and budget in place, i can't praise them enough for the advise and guidence given - Cymbiosis in L'ster used them for over 15 years
my system then was NDX/282/HCDR/200 with no Fraim - also use an LP12 the split is about 80% NDX
so we spent the morning on various combinations to improve the system in stages to help me with a plan & budget tried lot's of combo's - inc XPSDR, the best set up then was NDX/555/282/HCDR/250DR
we agreed at the end of the day plan way
added the Fraim in early spring - NOT at all dispointed with the increase on the whole system
I then contacted by dealer again in late summer for an ex demo 250DR, they had just taken in SH 300 non DR from 2010 - no contest, grabbed the 300 and its off at the end of this month for DR and service
just love the 300 and what it add's to the system
I have the dr version, I love its extra scale and dynamics.......over a nap250 dr, do enjoy yourself, the wait will be worth it.

Do Naim provide a service as part of the DR upgrade?
@Bryce You can have a service done at the same time at extra cost

Thanks Noogle. Is there much left to service after the DR upgrade?
I think they replace the electrolytic power capacitors and also fit new output transistors so they are the same as if you bought a new DR model off the shelf.
boxes are ready, taking the 300 in the morning to my dealer, will report back going to listen to a few favorite tracks this evening so I can play when I get the 300DR back to make a comparason on DR -

That seems a rather rapid turnaround, but hope it goes well.
Antony - you will absolutely love it. My DR upgrade and service on the NAP300/300PS is around a year in now - wonderful
had a call from my dealer yesterday 300 now DR & serviced has been returned from Salisbury, impressive turn around dealer sent it to NAIM on 29th Jan - arrived back 8th Feb
can't wait to get it back in to system might have a POETS afternoon???? and go and get it
Good news, Anthony. As you know, the 300DR will need to time to warm-up and run in again, so will take time to show the true benefit of your service and DR upgrade. Will look forward to you reports.

Nice to see that things can go fast. Maybe it is better just to send in one unit. For my dr 555 252 and Snaxo it took about 8 weeks, but that includes Christmas. It seems that Snaxo took a long time to recap.

First time I've heard that expression for years! In a previous life working in an office in central London, it was used quite regularly.
