App

When I select an album in the Naim app, the app tells me “14 tracks added”. However, it only plays the first track and then it stops. I then have to tick the second track, (“13 tracks added”) after which it stops again. And so on. I can never listen to an album without interruption. What is wrong with this app?

I don’t have that problem Eric. The only minor issue I have is when I select to play an album it starts playing, but the screen goes to the My Music screen. I have to select the album again at the bottom of the screen where the volume control is and it will then display it. Not a big problem but a bit odd and has only recently started so this.

Which app,  iOS or Android,  also what server (NAS) & UPnP media server software & might be handy to know what network player

Mine is the latest app version and this happens every time I select an album from tidal whilst the 272 is on another input eg cd. I select the album and it starts to play but screen goes to my music screen.

Eric, is this when you are playing from the UPnP/Server input? If so, what server are you using. I find that only one track will play if I use Minimserver with Folder view, rather than the more usual Tag view. Other than that, I can play the full album as expected.

Also, do you have ‘Tap for options’ enabled, and does this still only play one track, even if you choose ‘Play from this track’?

Can I ask the question again - what app,  iOS or Android,  also what server (NAS) & UPnP media server software & might be handy to know what network player

I have both iOS & Android app(s) & I don't get this problem,  so UPnP media software might be something & maybe (long shot) the network streamer.

I have had this problem on a few occasions, normally when a change has been made somewhere on the network.  I resolve this by rebooting my NDX and all is well again.  It's very infrequent though, maybe 2-3 times a year.

Has it every worked, and also see Mike-B's questions?

Looks like the OP posted a rhetorical question.

Since we don't seem to know which server / streamer the OP is using, I can only add that I have experienced a similar issue very occasionally with my NDS.

A simple shutdown and reboot of the NDS always cures the problem, though I am none the wiser as to why it should occur.

Thanks formall replies. I will be more clear about the problem. I have a Naim Superuniti. The problem does not occur when I stream from the harddisk, but it does have the problem when I stream from Tidal. The strange thing is, every now and again it works fine, but mostly not. Loading the app again, or switching the Superuniti off and on has had no effect.

Does the problem persist if you tap the ... icon, then choose 'Play from this track'?

When you say streaming for the "hard disc" do you mean a NAS drive on the network or another type of Device?

If so, what streaming software is installed on that NAS drive?

Is it configurable?

When I say hard disk, I mean my Synology NAS, that is connected to the same LAN as the Naim Superuniti. I am not aware of any streaming software on the NAS. There is a Tidal app on the Superuniti. By the way, when streaming from the NAS, all is working correctly. The problem occurs whem streaming from Tidal.

Your NAS will be running UPnP server software to enable the Superuniti to stream from it, but that shouldn't have any effect on Tidal, or any other web stream. Strangely, another user just posted that he had the same problem as you, but only when streaming from his Synology NAS.
