Coming home to your Naim set after a few days away

Posted by: Christopher_M on 09 January 2018

Hi All,

We've had a few days away on the Suffolk coast, We have had bracing walks in Winter light. We've cooked for each other. We've had ales in cosy pubs as we have done the puzzles in the back of the newspaper. We've drunk good wine with our dinners. We've loved.

I took some CDs to our rented cottage. They sounded awful in the DVD player built into the TV but it was music of a sort.

Today after a long drive under concrete skies we are home.

The Naims sound fantastic from cold. Getting some serious Telecaster action from Lucinda Williams on her Down where the Spirit meets the Bone from the off. Just sounding so right.

I considered posting this in HFC. Nah. This is about pleasure   :-))    Anybody else had this?!

Cheers, Chris

Every time I arrive home from a business trip - I've been traveling for 3.5 years 50% of my time - I listen to the opening of Bruckners 7th Symphony. It is magic - even after a few days.

And this is my lowly Supernait into BW CM1's - nothing special.

It’s the first thing I do when I walk through the door after a holiday, put the system on in the background to warm it up for a session........ Suffolk in the cold sounds nice, have a few days booked for February, Wife,s birthday.
