DR Upgrade

Posted by: frotter16 on 09 January 2018

What's the normal experience in having one's units DR'd?

I have just found out today that my 500, shipped near end of October to Audio Plus, has not even opened the unit up, nor received the parts to perform the upgrade.

It will be close to 5 months gone...anyone else have this experience?

That's pathetic!  I'm UK based which clearly helps.  My NAP300 was turned round in less than a month.  My CD555 and NAC552 were upgraded a few years ago.  Can't remember exactly and might have been a little longer but not much.

UK  based too. I requested the upgrade to my 500 through my dealer, Naim put me on a waiting list. About 5 weeks later I get a message that Naim are ready to upgrade my amp and service the ps. The dealer takes care of sending them to Salisbury and they’re back in under 2 weeks, they’re even delivered and installed back in my Fraim by the dealership.

Have you rubbed someone up the wrong way?

How would someone achieve that? Not much of a rubber

Have you spoken with Audio Plus to find out what is the problem?  There may be some other issue of which you are unaware.  Always best to get an explanation straight from the horses mouth.

called my dealer on Monday to get DR upgrade booked in for my 300, by the end of the morning NAIM had sorted date to take in to send down which is the end of this month

And before anyone considers posting any allusions towards the inevitable - don't even think about it!

Could your dealer give you a loaner amp to tide you over ... anything is better than nothing and think what a boost it will be when you get your DR back!!

Too late, you've already done it!
