Muso plays only half of AAC tracks

Posted by: Sssss55555 on 11 January 2018

The Tidal app plays the same albums and tracks without problem and in full through my iphone. Yet the exact same AAC tracks played from the Naim Muso and Muso app Tidal plays exactly half of each track.

All other features super. Sound super. But what is this sorcery?

Any ideas anyone please? I'm not an expert but I am fairly savvy with stuff but I cannot see why this would happen.

Tidal - full AAC tracks play

Muso - half of AAC tracks play

I am on HiFi service with Tidal.

Thanks for your help in advance

Have you tried contacting Naim support for help?

Thank you Richard.

Yes, I sent an email to support yesterday. Received an acknowledgement immediately. Alas no tech help yet.

Surely this must have happened to other Naim streaming device users.

I'm normally happy thats its just another thing that Apple are doing to indoctrinate more aspects of life but in this case the iPhone Tidal app plays all the blinking AAC tracks. Yet the Naim App will not.

I am connected via ethernet too, as I see the wifi vs ethernet connection seems to limit Tidal bitrate.

Bah! Quite a few of the Tidal albums are AAC not FLAC so effectively unavailable to play currently. For me.
