I'd just like Naim to not lose sight of the music. Roon is lovely, but my NDX does not need it if its replacement has the teething issues and delayed promises of the new Uniti range. And please Naim, please don't announce new stuff before you have finalised it and got it to a final release ready state.

You can tell that to the VC that owns naim

Hi,

there was the Meridian Soloos ages ago:

and probably there still is. But its' not a Naim. I admit that the Nativ looks a lot like a Naim box put on a piece of wood with a giant screen in place of its top plate. But the Soloos was a good performing machine who already costed more than an HDX.

I personally would like to see Naim sort out the App for control. Whilst generally ok its glitchy looks outdated now and crashes way more than it should. With the likes if Sonos control app being so clean and modern Naim need to think of a redesign and freshen up, its a shame that a company with such stunning equipment  let themselves down by such glitchy software

Mine never, or virtually never crashes. It works day in, day out, without problems. I can find my music and play my music. What is missing?

Naim smartphone apps for the Uniti family should have incorporated with Setup option.

Since my UnitiQute display died, I am unable to do any setup and unable to connect to my router

It's not an app shortcoming. The UQ doesn't make those settings available to the app.

it would probably be worth getting the display fixed but you may be able to make your UQ connect to your router if you use Ethernet cable rather than wifi. But it does depend what your UQ was set up to do originally.

The UQ display lifespan is not long enough that you can keep them for years. Btw, I am not saying, there is an app shortcoming, the app should be enhanced and user friendly, What I heard, the latest Uniti lineup having this feature.

Yes the new Unitis have lots of features that weren't in the old ones. All I'm saying is that it's not a Naim app shortcoming that stops you from being able to setup your UQ without the display working!

New state of the art DAC, controlled by Naim App, so it can really become your "digital" preamp.

Possibly with at least one HDMI input, OR better still a new AV3.

Statement wise, how about source components built into a matching tower?  CD555, ND555, NAT01 in top half of the tower. A (decoupled) iPad size display in the middle with a (decoupled) bottom half dedicated to a massive multi-feed power supply. Say 8 Burndy feeds to power the components built into the top half (via Burndy), plus a couple of spares to run outboard devices such as Superline, SNAXO, Core, a New Armageddon.

Smaller than  qute speaker to spread around the house without wife complaining about. Something on the scale of sonos play 1

Is the QB not small enough? I thought it had a small enough footprint to be at home pretty much anywhere although I guess not properly portable.

For me, I would like to see a next version of DAC v1 with DSP room correction or at least bass correction built in. I like what my DSpeaker does but would still like to have the Naim sound back in my source at some point.

Given the improvement I heard from the nova over the SU, I think Naim's next entry level DAC will be quite something.

An improved sn(sn3?)with 2rail dr like the hcdr and regulated ps like  the nap 250.

Naim heard my request and apparently agreed to my comments, now they are going out with a new streamer nd555, unfortunately too expensive for me

That would be interesting. Perhaps including a Dynavector sourced cartridge.
