Nac 82 Service

Hi Danny,

Great idea to get them serviced.  The 82 + olive supercap is a lovely combination but then we're biased as we also have an 82 + olive supercap in the family (!)

If Naim are unable to support servicing of the 82, then you may find that Darran at Class A in Sheffield can help you.

I had my 82 serviced by Darran last April, he did an amazing job (I run mine with a Hicap). Enjoy your purchase, I’ve had the 82 since new in 1993 and enjoyed many thousands of hours of listening through it, it brings music to life.

Does it mean Naim does not support products made before 2002 anymore?

While Naim hasn't had replacement fascias for the NAC82 for some time, I'm fairly sure that factory servicing isn't a problem.

@Cat345, just thr NAC 82,8the nap 250 and supercap are supported.

I think Richard is correct as I had a much older CB 40/110 serviced by Naim themselves a few months ago - expensive but no complaints for the quality of service nor the ability and willingness to device such an early product- well done Naim

For the avoidance of any doubt, I ran this past Naim's Steve Hopkins, who did confirm that of course Naim still service Chrome Bumper and Olive Naim kit.  The only issue is with some cosmetic parts such as knobs, some fascias, tuner displays, and of course any CD mech stocks that are exhausted.

I guess someone somewhere got the message confused here.  There, we can all rest easy once more...
