SoTM SMS-200 iPhone app

Posted by: DrPo on 07 February 2018

Does anyone have a recommendation for a iPhone DLNA/upnp app to control an SoTM SMS-200 unit in DLNA/UPNP mode (some apps like MPad/Mpod are apparently defunct now, looking for apps compatible with latest iOS).

The typical "use case" is the SMS-200 as an "ethernet bridge" to drive a USB DAC.

thanks in advance,

Greg

Although I have an older unit I too would be interested in this. I’m using Squeezelite for Tidal etc but can’t find an iOS app for DNLA mode.

I use iPeng for Squeeze lite which is great but it isn’t ideal for playing my high res files stored on my MacBook.

Hi Bob, I also started with iPeng and Squeezelite mode but don't like the navigation - btw: how did you manage to link to Tidal within iPeng?

By accident really. I’m at work at the moment but will check my laptop when I get home and let you know.

Brilliant, it works (Lumin that is) - and first impressions indicate it's a really good app, thanks T@RMAC

@Bob, I also managed to get ickstream to have Tidal in iPeng although it does not seem to "see" my music collection...

No unfortunately it doesn't see my music but favourites has lots of my music.  I'm now battling with HQ Player, I will try LUMIN I have it from when I had a Raspberry Pi .
