What features do you miss in the Naim app?

Thanks for the tip. Will try using it as I liked the Lumin app. When I was using a Moon Mind streamer and a Linn, I preferred the  Lumin app interface over others.

I downloaded the Lumin app and it found my US and Nas. I can see my albums but when i try to play a track.

I get a msg: Error, please select your Lumin

whats gone wrong?

First off you it only works with a streamer such as ND*, the NAC-N or Uniti ranges.

Second, even if you have a suitable streamer, you need to run the BubbleUPnPServer somewhere on your network - this allows apps such as Lumin to see your “standard” UPnP renderer as a OpenHome renderer (OpenHome is the extension to UPnP created by Linn for their streamers but available for other manufacturers to use).

What? You mean you miss how reliably the Naim app works and want to use a quirky, buggy alternative?   :-)

Thanks for your answer. I have a Super Uniti.

I was just curious how it works. In the artist page, the lumin app shows a picture but in the Naim app, its only the artist name.  Maybe something for the Naim app to improve upon.

Is it possible to run a BubbleUPnPServer on a Synology Nas? If not, then I'll leave it. My Naim app works well.

Cheers

The Naim app only shows what the server tells it to show.  For example if I tell it to look at my Plex server (via DLNA) I get...

Naim App

Using MinimServer which looks at exactly the same files on the same server I get...

Naim App

Lumin App on the other hand completely ignores the UPnP servers browser tree, creating its own and accessing other sites to access artist images (much like Plex does to create the first view).  I tend to stick with Minimserver as it gets the job done with very flexible browsing albeit not so prettily.
