No clue about SU and D18 -- but I did listen to a SN2 driving D20. Not quite your combo, but pretty close. I liked it -- but does this help you? Are you familiar with ProAc speakers? Speakers are quite a personal choice, as many discussions in this place suggest...

Hi timo yes ive heard proacs before like them ,just wonderd if the superuniti would power them nicely.

I am no expert, to be honest -- but ProAc doesn't have the reputation of building speakers that are difficult to drive. I would rather worry whether the speakers work in your room. Presumably you would buy second-hand. If the price is good, you might be able to re-sell with little or no loss. In recent months, ProAc's Tablette 10 has received much praise in the Forum -- apparently very easy to drive and not fuzzy about placement. I don't know the new Tablette (BBC monitor design) but listened to the Anniversary Tablette -- and thought it was a fine speaker though I preferred Neat's SX3 in an A/B comparison. In the  end I went into a totally different direction and bought PMC's 25.23....

Looking at the specs of the SU (80w) and D18 (20w to 180w), on paper it appears that the two would work together. I ran a XS 2 (70w) with a pair of D2's (spec stated amp between 30 -150w) and enjoyed the pairing.

I had the opportunity to do a home demo with the D2's with the XS 2, hopefully you can arrange the same with the SU & D18's. Everyone's room accommodations are different as well as our own hearing, one person's pleasure is another person's poison.

Good luck......

Naim and Proac generally are thought to work very well together so I couldn't imagine why the pairing wouldn't be good.
