SNAXO2-4 - adjustments

Posted by: tiggers55 on 14 February 2018

I have a set of Allaes powered by active 135s. The system sounds great, but as with most of us I love a little tweaking here and there. On that subject are there any adjustments that can be made to the SNAXO in terms of the split between high and low etc. I believe they were originally set up for SBLs or is that nonsense?

The SNAXO 2-4 has the crossover points set.  All that can be adjusted are the relative levels for HF and MF/LF  Be warned though, while the internal pots were originally set up at the factory, the little markings are easily lost, so returning to factory settings can be difficult if you start fiddling.

Thanks Richard, probably best I leave it alone I think :-)

If the SNAXO is secondhand then it could be good to have your Naim dealer check that the pots aren't well out of whack. If the default markings are still there (tiny black or white dots) then great, otherwise, it may be best to have the factory reset them.
