Hi,
just for interest.
Does anybody know what protections do "Naim Uniti Atoms" have? (for example, hard clipping protection, DC protection, overheateing protection, short circuit protection, etc..).
There are no info about that in specifications, but maybe somebody has info about that. NAIM seems to be one of the top audio amp brands, so logic dictates that there should be some kind of protections integrated into the Atom.
Thanks

Short-circuit protection is unlikely as the implementation always degrades sound quality.
I'm not sure to what you are referring by "hard clipping protection" and "DC protection"; these terms can mean a number of things (and again most implementations tend to degrade sound quality).

Huge, "DC protection" - I mean unit shut down on very extreme clipping, when square sine waves is present in output signal. It is for speaker protection.
"hard clipping protection" - similar to above. Just read somewhere that some amplifiers "rounds" top ends of the sine waves on clipping a little bit (also for speaker protection).
