CD 5 XS
Posted by: Freedomsounds on 24 February 2018
I was wondering if I could get the opinion of anyone out there who has or have had a CD 5 XS ??? I am thinking about investing in one to start a long term project the of building a separates naim system and felt I should check here with forum. I know that they XS series is being discontinued. Any feedback appreciated !
Guinnless, By A/B Repeat I mean an a A/B repeat button on the remote or the player it's self that allows you to repeat a certain section of a song over & over again. In the early days of CD players they were very common, then disappeared on most, and now seem to be a little more common on some mid-highend players Iike Sudgen. It was & is a nice feature to have if you play or study music.

Aah I see. I remember having one of those on a Technics CD player 30 years ago. It was beautifully made, loads o' buttons, lights, and functions but didn't play music and got replaced with a Linn Axis.
Love mine.
Happy chap.

Fully support [@mention:41551091830475636] 's summary. On this occasion I agree with him completely (doesn't happen very often).
I went through 2 NAIM CD players - ND5XS and CDX2. Don't miss spinning my CDs at all - as soon as I buy a CD, it get's ripped on my UnitiServe and is stored away.

Nope - on the contrary I just stopped using it after getting my NDS.
A very good friend of mine came to the rescue - he has no interest in setting up a streaming network and plays CDs only. So he bought it off me - we are both happy
I hear ya ! Thanks
