Bearing in mind I don't use UPnP etc, so apologies if I get anything mixed up here, and I do realise that people have work-arounds for Qobuz, but for those interested in using with Qobuz and their Naim streamers in a simple way, it looks like a solution could be in the making. On the Windows desktop App you can now stream to devices over UPnP. This is not an ideal solution for many, and hopefully it will develop into something more complete, but if want to know how Qobuz performs with a Naim streamer in this way, now you can try it out. I would guess the MAC version has the same option, but no way to check this at the moment. There's no sign of the iOS app changing to offer any new way to interact with this feature. Not even quite sure how that would work, but clearly something potentially quite useful is in the works.
As i don't own a streamer, I tested it out using my media PC for UPnP render, and using the desktop app on another machine. It does work. It sounds pretty good from about 10 minutes messing around. However, I think you might find it's a bit buggy, in that short time I've already manage to confuse it, and we had a disagreement over which track was supposed to be playing, but at least their trying to improve the connectivity, and I think, if done well, could bring in a few new customers.
Would be interested to know how people find it in SQ terms vs integrated tidal etc. And also if you streamer users even see any value in the option, as I don't understand this UPnP stuff well enough to work out what might, or should, happen next, i.e how can you control the thing without a laptop etc.

Pev, I think 90% of the people would agree with you, which is why I hope this is the first step in a bigger plan. And even though I do have a PC in permanent residence on the rack, I've no desire to operate it from another PC. What would be the point of that? The situation would be no different if I owned a streamer. What I would like is a way of controlling the desktop app, from the ios app, negating the need to interact with the PC directly for listening with Qobuz. I only posted it because I get the impression a number of people would prefer to use Qobuz over Tidal with their Naim streamers for various reasons, and this development might lead to a neater solution. It's not one yet, but for the curious who have a Qobuz sub, or trial, there is an easy means to compare SQ.

I would be interested if it ran on my QNAP nas or if it was integrated with Roon but I don't want to have a pc running when i just want to listen to music. I did suffer this before Naim integrated Tidal.
You need a computer of some sort to run the Roon Core, so presumably, if you wanted Qobuz you could use the same computer to run that too.

That was my point! A NAS is a computer of sorts, and if you put LMS on it, you should be able to get it to run Qobuz. (Not that I'm keen to plug Qobuz at the moment, as they have just flagrantly ripped me off, and stated that they intend to do nothing about it, but that's another matter!)

Chris, please could you explain what LMS is? If I put it on my Qnap, what would I then need to go to get Qobuz working. Sorry to be dim.

Slight off topic, but do share. I'm not on their PR team. ;-)
Qobuz offered me a 2 month free trial, which I took, but cancelled as it wouldn't work with Chromecast into my Atom (due to a known issue, I think) so I cancelled it. No confirmation email, bit it stopped working, and I couldn't buy downloads at preferential prices, so I assumed it had cancelled successfully. Saw on my bank statement that they had charged me £19.99. I emailed Qobuz to ask what was going on, and got a very curt reply, stating that "We are sorry, Qobuz doesn't refund subscription." Not impressed!

Logitech Media Server. I managed to put it on my Synology, as there is also a Radio Paradise FLAC stream plugin, which is nice. To be honest, setting it up involved a bit of head scratching, but with with some trial and error, I got there in the end.

You can install Bubbleupnp server on a QNAP and configure it to make the Naim streamer an Openhome renderer.
This will enable you to use Qobuz when controlled by the Linn application, Kinsky.

Be warned that Bubbleupnp doesn’t work gapless with the new Unitis, although it does with the older Musos.
The explanation I got from Phil Harris was:
“For your specific query we no longer support the custom extension SetAVTransportURINext which enabled gapless suport in your use case however generally the command is flawed and as such support for it has been removed. Muso and "legacy" streaming platform does support it historically but it will not be implemented on Atom / Star and Nova moving forwards.”
I was a bit disappointed after shelling out for my new Nova on the (Incorrect) assumption it would be able to do at least as much as the Muso. I’ve yet to find a way to gapless stream Qobuz to the Nova that works for me other than keeping my auralic Aries Mini in operation.
