Mains polution

Nobody really talks about this ....... the EU set certain standards - now we are coming out will the ever worsening stds spiral down ....... ... where is that link to 'Airlink' site doh.....
Do you think Brexit is going to cause issues with the UK electricity network ?
At least will be free to set our own standards to suit us rather than a compromise to placate twenty seven other countries so it might improve the quality of the mains waveform/voltage instead.
Does anyone really think that with an exponentially expanding world population and increasing wealth in second and third-world countries net pollution is somehow going to decrease? Maybe I missed the point of the OP, but it was posed like something from a school child.
Given that our power distribution standards are currently the the common subset of our former power distribution standards and those of the EU (and thus more tightly regulated than either of those standards), there is no realistic chance of improvement.
In fact there is some opportunity for relaxation of the standard - however in practice nothing will change as there would be no point in implementing any change.
Imagine the sound of a 'magical' mains supply that attracts the attention of unicorns.
Answer?
Easy Minh! It's nuclear fusion, of course. We were taught that at school, so it must be true.
Best regards, FT
I kind of doubt that power distribution is much of an issue at all. I suspect most so called mains pollution is locally created within the house, or at worst with DC offset from a nearby neighbour on your phase.
Also Europe adopted mainy of the early UK electricity standards... I doubt with the UK leaving the EU we will see the EU jump to 60 Hz or 110 volts.
How about Japanese "standards"...
50Hz or 60Hz (depending where you live)
About 85V to about 230V (depending on current load on the power-station and where you live)
