Hi all,

Using the desk top client, how do I command the US to make a parallel MP3 copy of all my CD rips?

Thanks,

Ray.

No idea about the DTC, but if you use the browser interface (by typing the US name or IP address into any browser) you can do it. Go to System > Music Stores > MP3 Library and take it from there.

Under ripping/encoding, MP3 parallel library is already set to 'true'. I think that means that future CD rips will also make an MP3 copy.

I know when I owned a HDX, I was able to make an MP3 of everything that had previously been ripped?

I don't know how the DTC handles it, as I've never used it, but if you do it on the browser interface, it will convert your existing library as well as future rips.

Got it thanks.  A bit weird not being able to do this from Naim's own DTC.

In DTC, go to the 'tools' tab, 'Settings & Functions', 'System Settings', the pick the 'Ripping & Encoding' tab. You can set encoding to true and set the required Bit Rate here. Hit apply and you're done.
