MC Boards.

Hi All,

Just looking for some advice, I currently have MM phono board installed in my 32.5 with a Hana EH cartridge.

I am looking to make the move to a MC Cartridge and need some advice of what MC boards to buy. I have seen a pair of the Naim 323/5K which I have read these are made for Linn Cartridges.

if i was to go for the Naim boards could I pair these with any MC Cartridge or must it be a Linn Cartridge?

Thanks in advance.

My Nac 72 has the 323K board - I think the latest version. According to my dealer it is really intended for Linn Cartridges.

You can use K type MC boards with other low output MC cartridges. The main difference between the S and the K type (apart from a slight load difference) is that the S type rolls off faster and earlier.  This may suit certain MCs better, particularly if they have a cantilever tip resonance that may be troublesome with the K type boards.

Gurbinder

Try to find a nice pre-owed Prefix...

it will need a power supply like a hicap, but easily the best bang for buck for LP12 : )
