TIDAL input not showing on UnitiQute2

I have been talking to Naim about this Tidal missing if you upgrade to 4.6 from something below 4.4 and they have now replicated the issue and advised me that the immediate fix is to install the 4.4 update and then install 4.6 again over that. No doubt something official will emerge in due course.

May be related or may not be available. I have updated Qute 1 from 3.8 to 4.6 and no Tidal option. Went back to 4.4 and Tidal shows. That's been shown to correct issue. My question is about multi room play. The Qute is not allowing multi room play. It shows as an option on the app and is enabled but still option for play. When playing the 272 and press the multi room icon at bottom right the Qute shows but when pressed it says no multi room options available. Any ideas about this issue or am I missing the obvious?

I have been talking to the Naim design people in the beta forum about this Tidal issue as after your reporting in this thread I discovered that I had it too on two streamers that weren't on 4.4 prior to the update to 4.6. This was something that both Naim and the beta group missed. After they had investigated and replicated the issue, the answer from Naim was to install 4.4 (as you have done) and then reinstall 4.6.  I have done this and all is ok.  So you should install 4.6 again now.

Regarding multiroom, on the legacy streamers (inc UQ and 272) you can't multiroom high definition streams and you can't multiroom analogue nor FM/DAB from the internal tuner module or an external analogue input. So it's standard definition digital streams only that you can multiroom.  Is that your problem?

I've just tried Tidal with multi room. I thought I was able to do that when I had a UQ2 and a Uniti 2. 

I would have thought it would work with Tidal. You may well have to put the 4.6 update on your UQ as per my previous post because if you call Naim support, that is likely what they will say if you complain multiroom isn't working between a unit on 4.4 and another unit on 4.6

UQ is now back to 4.6. I can see the Qute for multi room via the 272 but when Qute is selected a pop up reads no stream options available or something like that. It's odd at best. 

Odd. Did you do a factory reset on your UQ2 after doing the 4.6 update?

And are you using the latest version of the app? Can you multiroom in the other direction (with UQ as master and 272 as slave?)

I can't factory reset the Qute because the Qute does not recognize the remote. I've tried to recode but still nothing. I believe it will need to be sent in for repair for that issue. I tried the reverse with Qute as master but no option, no multi room icon like with 272, to use multi room. App is running latest version. What FW version started multi room? Just curious if it's an issue like the Tidal issue. If I missed a FW update. Started with FW 3.9. 

I think multiroom has been there on UQ almost forever, certainly before 3.2 anyway. I suspect it's all part of the same thing and a repair is going to be part of its future. It's well worth doing. The UQ is lovely.
