Naim and Vitsoe 606?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone tried the combination in the title. I'm wondering whether I'd be losing too much moving away from my current Isoblue rack.

Cheers

Haven’t tried it but have thought about it. Would be a nice problem to solve.

Challenges are I think space for cabling, ensuring shelves are square to the wall and dealing with any resonance. Re cabling, I did go as far as removing the rear lip from a shelf to create more space - worked fine with a basic angle grinder. Overall, I think doable for a smaller system probably with lighter boxes but not for the higher end stuff.

Interested to see what you come up with.

My home office system is sited on Vitsoe 606 shelving (alongside some vinyl and a Pro-Ject record cleaner).

I have a late-80s chrome bumper 42.5/140/HiCap set-up, connected to a Linn Axis/Adikt and Neat Iota speakers.

There's just enough space for cabling and the front of the amps sit around 1cm back from the lip at the front of the shelf.

Looks great and sounds excellent for a second system, but if you value sonic performance over aesthetic, then you're probably better off sticking with your Isoblue.

Much as I was expecting those answers, I guess I still had hope someone would have found the hidden hi-fi abilities of 606. :-D

This would be for my main system (LP12SE, which would be on a separate support > 72/SC/135s), so I'll probably have to think of something else... it's just that the looks of Isoblue don't quite match the rest of the room in our new place, to be honest.

Ricardo- how is the "separate support" working out for your Sondek?

Mark, LOL!

I wish I could answer that question, but the room it's going into is still being remodeled. Hopefully it won't take much longer, but the system is still boxed up.

Cheers,

Ricardo
