What a pair !

Just played this at volume to try out my new cartridge

Wow ! Davis' muted trumpet rasping high notes, Stitt's saxophone sounds great too - in fact this 1960 recording sounds great to me

I should have changed the cartridge before now on this hearing

Definitely hearing previously inaudible parts of the music. The bass is hugely improved, tighter etc.

Really pleased - can begin to understand now why people are prepared to spend 'bucks' on cartridges

Well then there is still a lot more to be had from your new cartridge

Do try a dedicated phono pre- the Naim phono boards can be bettered quite easily with a modern phono stage for not a lot of cash. Have fun and enjoy!
