Just had a brand new Unity Star all is very well but I find I cannot activate the proximity sensor feature, any ideas?

I wasn’t aware that it was possible to activate/deactivate it, mine just works. Do you mean on the Star itself, or the remote, or both?

As Chrissu says it should just work. If putting your hand in front of the display doesn’t activate it you either have a fault or there’s no alternative screen for it to show. To rule out the latter select internet radio, “play” a station - you should see the station logo. Bring your hand to a few inches from the display and it should switch to show bit rate and perhaps track playing info. If not you have a fault.

Thanks for that, yes it does work as described, I thought it activated the screen when you approach it like walk in the room, not a few inches away .

Thanks to you both, my mind is now at rest.

I think mine works from around 18-24 inches away (sorry, I’m on holiday so not able to try it out for a few days); it’s more than a few inches. I’ve found my cats can flip it when they walk past - can be very distracting

Now its stopped responding, I had the internet radio station artwork, waved my hand now, no change, still the bigger image .

It worked an hour ago !
